Yeah I admit Im a bit of a nerd and a bit of a tinkerer.  I like to take things apart and know what makes them work.  I also like to be able to replace parts of existing things on my own, either to fix them or to try and get more performance out them.  Thus I will probably always be a PC man.  With that said my wife recently had her headphone jack on her iPod go out.  Since I am a sensible man and realize that she would go insane with this we went and got her a new iPod classic and she is once again happy with her music goodness.

A talking virus

Doesn’t this rock? Seriously people give me crap for sticking with ME. Other than the obvious heartache it causes when I get all download happy with new programs and forget to configure them correctly it’s been nice. We just have to watch our HD space we keep getting a virus in our system restore folder which then replicates and eats up all our free space. Twice now. But we are armed! Anyway enjoy the article.

I’ve just downloaded the GAIM client ported for Windows. Mmmmmmmm I am in heaven, though I think I will experiment with the other themes, Im just using the windows theme so I would be to wierded out by the setup. It’s great it’s like trillian but waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better. No frequent disconnections and this one actually supports file transfers. Although I will admit I haven’t tried trillian in a while so they could have a stable product now. I like the whole tabbed convo’s window. One easy window for all your convos, it mixes all the services your signed up for in there as well. Hey does anybody know my old ICQ number? Wanna check it out? Ok, so now I’ve run into a bit of a snafu, my wife has seemed to lost her drivers for her printer, whoooooops. Funny, Mandrake had the driver and we don’t have it for windows. Tis humorous to me. Luckly, Canon has the driver available for download. Sadly it’s 11.6MB. Really spiffy they also have the applications that are included on the disk available for download as well. SCHWEET! Jimminy cripes! So I back up data to cd and rolled up my sleeves to begin the whole reinstall of Windows. Well I got the reinstall done with a few problems with drivers and such, YaY! Now I pop in our data cd all programs on the cd are corrupt and random pic files are corrupt. So far all text files seem to be fine but IM kind of afraid to deal with it right now. Im going to finish taking everything I can off the cd and then finally set up profiles. Read more

So my hosting services were gobbled up by an ISP, blargh. So what happens my admins tell me, my site as well as my wife’s should only be down for a day or so. Well here it is like 2 days after the fact that I finally realized it was all KaKed up! So everybody who may have commented or even written me an email Im sorry you got a whole lotta nothin. We just got our email functioning again and have yet to get our sites back up. I hope to get them working real soon because I just like to know I have something online. I took down my tripod site thinking having my hosting would be better. I have yet to see that so we may see my old tripod site up with a major overhaul. Who knows, we shall see. Right now I just want to kick something, because this transfer has made things difficult and for those of you that know how I feel about extra work, yeah you know what Im thinking. SO yeah if you tried email or the sites it was jacked, we are back and hopefully ready for communication.

So yeah I think I’ve found a game that my wife and I can never ever buy. Observe. I mean seriously thats like a wrestling/fighting words/hurt feelings gala just waiting to happen here in our household. Well perhaps if we get another computer and *snork* share the dial up connection. *laughs til pees in pants* Do you know how many calls I got from people trying to do that, back in tha day? Ohhhhh it does look like ilt is available on the PS2 and PC, *shudder* It just gets worse and worse as I think about it. I mean seriously I am in danger of losing my PS2 to my wife as it is. Good gawd I would need to get a hard drive for the PS2, the Network adaptor I kind of figured, but a hd? Gads, my PS will become even more coveted in this household. I am putting my foot down, we will not get this game. Fortunately our computer is too old to support it. See the minimum requirements? I think we are safe and Ri may have both parents for a while longer. That remains to be seen in the future however.

So I finished my download of Molly Mush and poof I have a new cd. MmmMmm, this is definitely some Happy Hardcore! I think I found my new dj of the moment, Im downloading a new mix by her as we speak. I think this will probably be a 3-4 day ordeal again, but the last one was worth it, so I’ll take another chance. Talk about taking me back, and for some reason it seems to calm my daughter down while I try and do home stuff. What made this whole thiing so painful was the fact that our computer is possessed. No joke, this thing is home to many a pesky bug. I think it tries to play it off like it’s a good lil puter, but I know what it’s really like. Eating critical papers, spitting out cds that can’t be read by my normally sane cd player, and last but not least finding that inopportune time to KaK out! As it did today. Read more

Serious that used to be common place at home, alright it still is, but I just wish for once my co-workers would grab my butt and not just spank it. And with that said I think we should move on. I would like to announce now that FFX is tha devil! Why, you may ask. Well I’ll tell ya. It has made me sleep deprived and made me spend about $35 on rental costs and cost for the game. Alright it does rock and I love it but the fact that I don’t sleep anymore and try to sneak any time in possible like a coke addict looks for any bathroom stall to get his fix in is just horrid.
